Tarah Herrington came to Charleston from New York City where she worked hand in hand with fertility expert and acupuncturist, Dr. Angela Le and reproductive endocrinologist, Dr. Sami David at Fifth Avenue Fertility. Tarah is a talented healer who specializes in fertility, women’s health and stress and pain management, empowering her patients to take an active role in their own healing process.
Tarah's ambition and drive lead her to obtain dual degrees in East Asian Studies and Strategic Communications from the University of Kansas before starting her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Tri-State College of Acupuncture. She spent 2 years abroad in Japan studying the Japanese language as well as the traditional healing art of Reiki.
Tarah’s unique approach to treatment offers a blend of modalities including acupuncture, essential oils on acupuncture points and Reiki. This combination of healing allows patients to relax into the treatment at a deep level and produces results with a gentle touch. This style of treatment is excellent for those who are sensitive or nervous about needles.
Tarah also offers a blend of modalities when looking at the musculoskeletal system in pain management. She uses a combination of trigger point release acupuncture, also known to some as dry needling as well as cupping and gua-sha to release muscles that are creating blockages in the system which manifest as tension and pain. This type of treatment is best suited to those who have an active lifestyle and are experiencing muscle tension, aches or pains, The results help those who want to stay active remain in good physical condition to keep up with their active lifestyle and workout regiments.
Tarah combines her talents in her unique approach to healing and her knowledge of Eastern and Western integration to tailor treatment plans based on each individual patients needs in their journey to wellness.
